Junior high

  • New Assessment (KJSEA): The Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) replaced the old KCPE exam. It focuses on skills and practical problem-solving rather than rote memorization . This exam contributes 60% of a learner's final placement score, with the rest coming from school-based and earlier assessments .

  • Shift in Focus: The system values creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on skills over high-pressure, memory-based testing . The goal is to prepare students for real-world challenges.

  • Transition to Senior School: After Grade 9, students choose from three career pathways for Senior School (Grades 10-12): STEM, Social Sciences, or Arts and Sports Science . Placement aims to match students to pathways where they are most likely to excel .

  • Private Schools' Success: Some private schools have reported strong KJSEA results by strictly adhering to CBE guidelines, investing in infrastructure (labs, ICT), and training qualified teachers for the new curriculum .

Primary

St. Anthony's has seen strong results attribute their success to strict adherence to the CBE protocols.

  • Strict Compliance: Success is linked to early and strict compliance with CBE teaching methodology and curriculum design.

  • Resource Investment: Schools invested in key areas like infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, ICT integration, and continuous teacher training to deliver the new curriculum effectively.

Kindergarten

since it's inception in 1995, the mission of the school has been to provide a holistic educational service in a learner-centered and co-educational Christian set-up guided by the values of commitment, fairness and integrity. In fulfilling this, the school has remained accountable to the maxim of excellence in all its educational undertakings. As the Board of directors, our work has been clearly defined for us in tandem with the Founder’s vision: an institution which not only brings up a child who is academically endowed but also a morally and spiritually upright.
